Channing Tatum Was Named People’s Sexiest Man Alive Of 2012 After All [PHOTOS]

Channing Tatum is People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2012! Well done People!

While Channing Tatum is making the rounds in Europe to ensure that the whole world can see Magic Mike, more details about his “beef” with co-star Alex Pettyfer have surfaced.
“Channing and Alex had a fight while filming,” a source close to the movie told Page Six. “Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn’t want anything to do with Alex.”  Pettyfer has a reputation in Hollywood for being difficult to work with, so this story isn’t help matters.
A Tatum rep denied any bad blood between his client and Pettyfer, saying, “This isn’t true.” Producer Nick Wechsler told Page Six, “Alex was a great pro to work with. He did everything that we asked for, was completely prepared and well-mannered. We have no idea where these false stories are coming from.”
What’s more, Pettyfer did not appear on the Magic Mike cover of Entertainment Weekly, despite having a key role in the movie.  ”Channing said he didn’t want to do [the shoot] if Alex was there,” the source added. “Alex is known in Hollywood for being rude and difficult.”
Pettyfer’s rep shot down this piece of news. “They were all offered the cover, and everyone was happy to do it with everyone else. Alex was unavailable to travel to New York … because he had another commitment that he couldn’t get out of. It was purely a logistical issue that prevented Alex from getting there.”

Changing Tatum And Alex Pettyfer Hate Each Other

Celebitchy posted a story the other day (from Us Weekly) about how Alex Pettyfer was so dicky on the set of Magic Mike that Channing Tatum cut out one of his scenes. Pettyfer subsequently threw a hissy. He and Tatum are reportedly now not speaking and wouldn’t acknowledge each other at the premiere. Tatum apparently never wants to work with him again.

I can never get enough of Jimmy Fallon‘s skits.  Whether it’s Downton Sixbey or Ew!, the man gets it every time.

This go-round, Fallon and guest Channing Tatum put on their peppiest tween outfits for a segment on all things “ew.”  A.D. Miles played Fallon’s kooky step-dad who, despite his Bill Cosby sweater, makes you uneasy.

MAGICMIKEMAGICMIKEMAGICMIKE

Have you seen ‘Magic Mike’ yet?  If so, what did you think?

The new film Magic Mike, opening this Friday (Thank God, finally) stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Cody Horn, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Olivia Munn. From the short trailer I watched, it honestly looks like a group of (extremely attractive) male friends who get to strip and party together every night, and have a lot of fun doing it. But I hear there is more to the story than feasting your eyes on the ripped bodies of the famous celebs who star in the film.

The movie follows star Channing Tatum as “Magic Mike”, the best stripper in town, as he mentors newcomer Alex Pettyfer as “The Kid” whose sister he ends falls in love with. The comedy isn’t all laughs though, it takes dramatic turns when Tatum is faced with the struggle of “wanting more”. The stripper secretly loves and has the talent to craft beautiful furniture and has to figure out how to make his dream a reality.

AfterElton got the inside scoop. Tatum explained more in depth when he said, “You have the dreams that you want to do and then you kind of have to do other jobs until you can get to that dream. Mike and I, I think, a lot of these guys, just sort of fell into this thing and it was fun and years just sort of ticked on as the party was happening. All of a sudden, you’re like ‘wow, it’s like 7 years later and I don’t have really very much to show for it. I’m not any closer to my dream.’ At some point the party just got in the way and became your life. I think that’s happened to a lot of people. They just get sidetracked.”

Matt Bomer spoke to E!‘s Marc Malkin about this low-key ensemble flick that comes out Friday.  Magic Mike, I think it’s called?  Bomer gave a fantastic interview, recalling what key advice co-star Channing Tatum gave him for one particular scene.  ”Channing told me, ‘You have to use the stretcher and just get up on this girl and grind your junk in her face,’” he said.

AH-MAZING.

We’ve certainly pre-ordered our tickets, but will Bomer’s three kids – with partner Simon Halls – be able to catch dad in all in glory?  Hell no, Bomer confirmed.  ”But one day when they are old enough, they can watch it,” he added. “I’ll be able to say, ‘Hey, your old man used to be in shape. He might not be anymore, but he used to be in shape. Now, go get me a beer.’”

While promoting the film, Bomer touched on the importance of being comfortable with who he is.  ”I had somebody from the military approach me a few weeks ago just saying how this helps people, affects people,” Bomer said “It brought me to tears.”

In February, Bomer spoke at the Desert AIDS Fund event in Palm Springs.  ”What we really have to do is stop the adjective before the job title—whether it’s ‘black actor,’ a ‘gay actor’ or ‘anything actor,’” Bomer said to the audience. “Everybody thinks that equality comes from identifying people, and that’s not where equality comes from. Equality comes from treating everybody the same regardless of who they are. I hope the media and the press catches on to that because it’s time to move out of 1992.”

Mmm so dreamy, that Matt Bomer.

Channing Tatum has always proudly owned his former male stripper status, and now many of his (joyously sketchy) experiences have been folded into the upcoming Magic Mike movie by director Steven Soderbergh. Two ex-male strippers who once worked with Tatum claim his new movie Magic Mike is a giant SLAP IN THE FACE … claiming the actor stole THEIR stories and turned it into his own Hollywood gold

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards red carpet held at Gibson Amphitheatre last night (June 3, 2012) in Universal City, California was filled with hunky men!

From Chris Hemsworth to Diego Boneta to Channing Tatum to Andrew Garfield it was hard not to find some photogenic actor in the midst.

While some of the hunkiest of actors failed to walk the red carpet – Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Christian Bale – I’m talking to you, overall the men in their business casual outfits gave us plenty to drool over.

Check out all the guys on the red carpet by launching that gallery.

You gotta love a man who works for his art. Magic Mike co-star Joe Manganiello was in full on Magic Mike mode at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The actor strutted on stage in a fireman’s cap and suspenders and stroked his axe for the screaming fans.

He then joined Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum to present Elizabeth Banks with the best On-Screen Transformation award, and Joe happily gave her his popcorn.
